Delaware Technical Community College President Mark Brainard told lawmakers on Tuesday that the school plans to launch a BSN degree for nurses. The community college currently offers a two-year associate degree and plans to launch the four year degree to help provide a “high-quality workforce for the Delaware health care system.”
Ninety percent of all Delaware Tech nursing graduates pass licensing exams on their first try and Brainard noted that an expanded program would help nurture Delaware’s healthcare ecosystem. Delaware Technical Community College plans to expand 80 percent of Delaware Tech’s buildings by 2020.
