Alfred State College courses will be taught on the Dutchess Community College campus in a classroom setting.
Dutchess Community College is part of the State University of New York system and is located in the beautiful and historic mid-Hudson Valley, just 90 miles north of New York City (halfway between New York City and Albany).
Alfred State seeks experienced nursing educators for adjunct positions to teach post-licensure registered nurses. The courses are structured according to Alfred State College’s BSN curriculum. Alfred State’s Nursing Department has a reputation for graduating excellent BSN practitioners.

A summary of responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver baccalaureate nursing course(s)
- Assess student learning outcomes
- Monitor student progress within the course
- Submit mid-term and final grades for each student
- Participate in baccalaureate meetings via phone or skype
- A master’s degree in nursing required (PhD in nursing is preferred).
- NYS Professional Nursing license and current CPR certification
- Background in teaching healthcare related topics
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, critical thinking, organizational skills, and computer skills. Experience with simulation is also desirable.
