BASIC DESCRIPTION

An author/writer is a registered nurse who works in any area of writing. This written material may be used in research, biomedical research, education, training, sales and marketing, and other medical mediums and communication forms. Writers need the ability at times to work with voluminous technical information. Authors or editors may write for medical and general interest publications, freelance, professional organizations, and medical trade journals.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Registered nurse preparation is required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or higher, is often also required.
