The Department of Nursing invites applicants for the Baccalaureate Degree in the College for Adults Program Director, full-time, tenure-track, position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience.
Responsibilities: The Baccalaureate Degree College for Adults Section Program Director is accountable for student learning and curriculum integrity in the baccalaureate program. Recruiting, mentoring and faculty development are important components of this position and are necessary for program excellence. The program director engages in activities that promote positive relationships with students, faculty and professional colleagues, clinical and community agencies, alumnae/i, and other external groups. The program director facilitates student learning in the program of study by: ensuring that the program of study responds to students’ learning needs, consulting with students about specific academic concerns, and referring students with academic concerns to appropriate University services, resources, and offices.
Requirements: Master’s degree in nursing required, doctoral degree in nursing or related field preferred. Teaching experience in an academic setting and eligibility for RN licensure in the State of Minnesota are required. Administrative experience preferred. Commitment to collaborative engagement of faculty, staff, and students to promote excellence in the baccalaureate day section.
