The Rheumatology Nurses Society (RNS) is a non-profit professional nursing organization committed to the development and education of nurses to benefit patients living with rheumatologic diseases. RNS recently announced its “Heroes of Caring” project, an initiative aimed at recognizing and celebrating rheumatology nurses for their extraordinary work. The project is intended to capture the real-life stories of rheumatology nurses.

Kicking off at the 9th Annual RNS Conference in Cleveland, OH, attendees will be present for the screening of an inaugural video and invited to share their personal experiences in a video diary booth after the screening. Footage from the video diary booth will be curated and eventually posted on the Heroes of Caring website and other RNS social media platforms.

A small pilot group of nurses were selected to contribute their stories for the inaugural Heroes of Caring video, seeking to share the remarkable work that rheumatology nurses do every day on behalf of their patients. Working on the front lines of care and with the one of the highest levels of direct patient interaction in the nursing field, each rheumatology nurse makes their own mark on the field and RNS wants to share those powerful stories of hope and healing.
